Illinois: Adult Convictions (IL-C-4)

Records of a conviction for prostitution or a similar offense under a local ordinance can be vacated by the court at any time if the person's participation in the offense was a result of having been a human trafficking victim. 725 ILCS 5/116-2.1.

The motion must be filed in court. For the specific procedure, see 725 ILCS 5/116-2.1.
Fees
There is no statutory language regarding fees.
Effect
The conviction is vacated and the court can take such additional action as is appropriate. 725 ILCS 5/116-2.1(c).
Waiting Periods
The petition can be filed at any time following entry of a verdict.
