Creating Quality Prison Education Programs in Jails

On July 1, 2023, incarcerated people regained eligibility for need-based federal financial aid. The new regulations apply to both jails and prisons. This webinar will cover the process to become a prison education program (PEP) in accordance with the new regulations and an overview of college programming in jails as well as the types of programming/options to consider when developing a PEP in a jail context. The webinar will feature Nicole Hendricks from Western Mass CORE and Kellie Nadler from Rising Scholars. The panel will be moderated by George Chochos from the Vera Institute of Justice.
