New Haven employment fair and jobs programs bringing results for ex-offenders

2/12/12 New Haven Register—Four months after an October job fair for ex-offenders at James Hillhouse High School, the city is planning another. The city took a different approach in advance of the event, sponsoring job readiness classes so candidates would come prepared and looking the part when they met prospective employers. The roundtable group received 140 referrals from different agencies. Ninety-five attended the session.
