Final Report: Findings from the Evaluation of the D.C. Superior Court Drug Intervention Program

This report is an evaluation of an experiment to test court-based interventions for drug-involved defendants. Drug felony defendants were randomly assigned to one of three dockets. The three dockets involved different combinations of treatment, incentives, and sanctions to encourage cessation of drug use. During the 16 months of the study, extensive process, impact, and cost data were collected to provide a basis for assessing the programs and to guide the development of effective court-based interventions.
